Stephen Hamill is the resident PGA professional
at Lisburn Golf Club.
Stephen played his early years of golf at Massereene Golf Club and
turned Professional at Massereene as a 16 year old. He moved to Carnlea
as the Clubs Assistant Professional before becoming a teaching professional
in 1986 at Knockbracken with Don Patterson.
He joined the European Tour in 1988 including the Challenge Tour and
continued to play professional golf until the end of 1996. His successes
during that time were winning the Under 25's Professional Champions
in1989, finishing 2nd in the Atlantic Open in Portugal in 1990 when
he lost on a play off. He won the Irish PGA Order of Merit in 1988
and 1997, and won the Ulster PGA championship in 1994.
At the end of his Tour commitments he moved to the Allen Park Golf
School in Antrim before joining Lisburn Golf Club as Club Professional
in September 2001.
Stephen and his team of assistants are available to assist members
and visitors with everything from club selection to clothing ranges.
